Young Boats, Inc was formed by the Young family with the pursuit of building attractive fishing boats that would appeal to the serious or professional angler who has an “eye” for quality and fishability . Before building boats, we were avid fishermen (take a look at the “Young Family Fishing Album”) and noticed that even in today’s highly competitive market there was a niche for a highly functional fishing boat that did not sacrifice performance or good looks. Most boats on the market were a compromise, the attractive boats were not functional and the functional ones were not attractive or lacked in performance.

Thus, we set out to develop and build the Young 20. This boat represents extensive engineering, testing, and refinement. Each component, from gel coat to stainless steel hardware, has been thoroughly researched to ensure that the best and most advanced materials are used. The result is a functional boat with attractive lines, a smooth, dry, and stable ride, with superior quality of construction.

Unlike a production boat company that produces hundreds of boats per year, we custom build to order and only sell factory direct. This custom building process gives our customer a sense of pride in owning a true “one of a kind” boat. As a custom manufacturer, Young Boats prides itself in meticulous attention to detail throughout the entire construction process. We have found there are no shortcuts in building quality custom boats; nevertheless, we feel the end product more than justifies the means of their development and construction.
