Meet the Young Family

Robb Young

Robb has grown up on and around boats and learned to fish the same time he learned to walk. His love for the water led him to major in Ocean Engineering at the Florida Institute of Technology (F. I. T.) in Melbourne, FL. While at F. I. T., he received, with honors, a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Ocean Engineering, specializing in Composite Design and Construction and Naval Architecture. He graduated with highest honor and twice received the Ocean Engineer Student of the Year. Much of his college money was made from fishing professionally and running charters. At Young Boats, Robb is in charge of the construction of our boats as well as the design and development of new products.

A new chapter in Robb's life came in 2005 when he married Dante' Hoffmeier. Dante' and Robb met in a church fellowship group and then Dante' began working for Young Boats in 2004. And, as the saying goes..."the rest is history".

Dante' Young

Dante' was born in California and moved to Homosassa with her family in 1985. Her parents, Ross and Debbie, along with her brother and sisters have enjoyed fishing as both a business and recreation. Dante' graduated from CFCC as a certified Business Administrator. She is the office manager of Young Boats, a perfect mate for Robb and a lovely addition to the Young family. Best of all, she even likes to fish!!

Addison Young

The Young Family welcomed their newest "model" addition on January 13, 2007.  Robb and Dante's first child, Addison Lily was born at 12:31 PM.  She weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz., 19-1/4" long and Robb says......definitely "a keeper"!  We are all so grateful for this latest blessing to the Young Boat's Family.

Brad Young

Brad was raised in Miami, FL where he grew up hunting and fishing in the Everglades. With salt water in his veins, Brad has over 45 years of fishing experience. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a major in Education. For over 25 years, Brad has been a sales manager for a major company. In addition, for 10 years he was an owner and operator of "The Baithouse", a successful bait and tackle store in Clearwater Beach, FL. Brad is the proud father of Robb, Ryan and Russ and heads up all marketing and sales efforts at Young Boats.

Ryan Young

Ryan was born and raised in Clearwater, FL and grew up fishing the waters from Sand Key to Anclote Key. He spent all his free time at the Baithouse working or assisting Charter boat captains. At the age of 15, Ryan participated in the West Coast Billfish Tournament and placed second with a 337 lb Blue Marlin. Ryan helps with sales for Young Boats.

Russ Young

Russ has over 20 years of fishing experience. He graduated for Mercer University in Macon, GA, where he received a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Accounting. During college, Russ spent the summers grouper and snapper fishing in the Florida Middle Grounds.

A new chapter in Russ's life came in 1998 when he Married Pam Burgos. Pam grew up in Mt. Dora, FL and graduated from Stetson University with a BA. She is the perfect partner for Russ as they met while co-workers at KPMG in Jacksonville and share a strong background in finances. Russ and Pam are the proud parents of Kelsey, Hailey and Caleb. Russ and his family are now living in Salt Lake City where Russ is the Controller for the Mountain Division of Hospital Corporation of America. Russ and now Pam, continue to assist Young Boats as financial consultants.

Rosemary Young

Rosemary was born and raised in Miami, FL and grew up around the water. She and Brad have been married over 39 years. She has devoted herself to the goals and pursuits of her family. She is the very proud "Nana" to their grandchildren! In 2005 she began working at Young Boats part-time. Her responsibilities are sales administration and customer service.
