Andy Opaleski, owner of a Young 24, spends his summers in Michigan. His
home is on the St. Clair River which ties in Lake Huron to Lake St. Clair, Lake
Erie and Lake Ontario. These pictures were taken on Wednesday, July 28th
on the St. Clair River. Andy wrote, "Just wanted to let you know we have
had a 2-3 foot chop today and I was out with the boat. It ran great and
was very dry. We are getting a lot of compliments on the boat. We are
having fun up here."

Robb,
"Just wanted to drop you a short note to let you know we finished the trip to
move my 2005 Young 20 from Green Turtle Cay, Abaco Bahamas to Key West
yesterday. We covered the 100 miles from Green Turtle Cay to West End on
Grand Bahamas on Saturday. We waited 1 day for the weather to cooperate
and made the 200 mile trip from West End, Grand Bahamas to Key Largo on Monday.
That segment of our trip included the 65 mile trip across the Gulf Stream.
The open ocean crossing to Lake Worth Inlet from Grand Bahamas took about 4
hours. Yesterday we traveled the final 100 miles from Key Largo down to
Key West. You would think crossing the Gulf Stream in an open 20 foot boat
would have been the worst part of our trip. The 65 miles from Lake Worth
Inlet to Miami down the ICW were the toughest miles. With all the "no wake
zones",it seemed like that portion of the trip took forever.
We covered
408 miles in 25 hours spread over 3 days and averaged slightly over 16 miles per
hour. Thanks for building a great boat for me and I am looking forward
to enjoying it for years to come in Key West.
I attached a photo of the boat taken on Sunday at OId Bahamas Bay Marina at West
End, Grand Bahamas Island."
Best wishes,

Robb,
"Last night after work Wendy and I decided that the weather
was perfect to use the boat. The winds were out of the NE at 15 kts with gusts
to 25 against an incoming tide so the bay was a 2’ mixed chop with an occasional
3. It was exactly the kind of seas that made me decide to get a new boat. The
ride was great; the boat stayed dry no matter which direction we ran and the
tower was comfortable running into the seas at 35 MPH, at the lower station we
could comfortably run as fast as we wanted. We spent an hour and a half just
running around getting used to the boat. The boat is everything I expected it to
be.
I love this boat.
Thanks,
Mike Floyd

My Young 20 and the time
I've spent out on the water has given me so many fond memories with my brothers,
my children and my friends that I can't count them all. Those memories are
priceless, and the time I spend on my boat with my family and friends enjoying
the wonderful outdoors is one of God's greatest gifts to me. Your boat has
already paid for itself tenfold and the memories keep coming. Thank you for
making such a great boat, but most of all for being such great people. I'm proud
to have the Young name on my boat for all it stands for beyond well
engineered fiberglass and stainless steel.

Rosemary and
Robb,
Just wanted
to let you know the wind has finally allowed us to start using our boat a lot
more. I want to tell you I am very pleased with boat. The ride in rough water
is better than I believed it would be. I have used the release well and all
livewells and am happy with results. I believe I am a very picky person when it
comes to boats and I just wanted to let you know I think boat is wonderful.
Also my wife was out with me in pretty rough water and she said this boat rides
better than all others I've had. I had several people inquire about boat at
ramps the last couple of weeks, all were impressed with overall look of boat.
Maybe you will get a few more sold in Texas.
Thanks again for everything.

We were in the market for "my" first boat back in
October and became interested in the Young 24 after seeing it at the Ft.
Lauderdale Boat Show. My son-in-laws brother is a boat salesman for Pro-Line and
he was also impressed with it. We were actively considering the Everglades 24'3
when we saw the Young boat. Robb invited us up for a test run in Inglis, Florida
(Crystal River Area) as we did not have enough time to run it down here. We did,
however, test the Everglades. We took the Young boat out for approximately 2hrs.
(Robb seemed to enjoy this part as much as we did) in the Gulf on the West
coast, with the seas approximately 2 ft. The boat handled like a fine tuned
instrument with all 4 of us on it. We tried drifting and noticed very little
rocking and the boat felt rock solid at all times. My son-in-laws brother took
it through all kinds of figure 8's and sharp circles and other kinds of tests
and he came away truly impressed with this vessel. Speed wise, the boat was
outfitted with an Evinrude 250 ETEC and we were able to max out at approximately
56 mph (4 adults). I really can't say enough about the Young family. Everything
is customer oriented and you are truly treated as family. No call goes
unreturned and all questions are answered promptly. My only problem is, that as
we progress with the building of the boat I seem to be adding on just about
every option they offer! In closing, I hope this helps with your decision. You
really should hook up with Robb and take it for a spin. By the way, the
Everglades, although a nice production boat, cannot hold a candle to the hand
made workmanship of the Young 24. Both were tested in similar conditions and the
Young won hands down. I, too, am planning on using the boat for the East coast
(ocean) and West coast (gulf and bay). I wanted the best of both worlds and I
know that I found it with the Young 24. One other thing, do not hesitate to
contact one or several of the Young 24 references provided. I did and found it
to be very informative about the total quality of the Young family and their
vessels.
Yours truly,

FINALLY! A boat ride that I love!!!!!
Our Young 20 is beautiful to look at, comfortable to ride on and has
something special for each member of our family. This boat has
everything Ken needs for fishing the flats. Ryan and Evan have the great
sounding stereo system and tow ring for wake and surf boarding. Ryan (our
surfer boy) say's the hull shape put's out an awesome WAVE . Betsy,
our daughter is going to love the cushion on the front for tanning or
reading. Then there is our youngest son Rhett.....he will love everything
about it. Did I mention ALL THE KIDS LOVE FISHING THE FLATS, too! As for
me, I love the cup holders, hand grips, cushions, stereo, colors, carpet and
the smooth ride!
From a Design Point of View the finished product is a Winner. Form and
Function meet Beauty and Comfort. Thanks to each of you and all your team
for our custom built and very special fishing craft. I just love it! Take
care and good fishing to all! NOW, off to catch some fish!
Sincerely,
Jerri Grossman

I do not know where to begin. I guess from the night we picked up our
boat. Your explanation of all the details on our new boat left nothing
to doubt. On top of that the organization of the folder with all the
manuals, registration etc. etc. was impressive. You took your time and
answered all our questions accurately. This made our first voyage
really smooth. Believe it or not we launched our boat at 11:00 p.m.
that evening.
The next day we spent several hours breaking in the new motor by
cruising, wake boarding and just chilling. We had a blast. Friday we
took a cruise with the stereo playing and the young girls in their
bikinis! We went from the Florida Bay Side of the key's through
Tavernier Creek to the Ocean and back. It's a great cruising 20
footer! The ladies love the cup holders and stereo. We weren't certain
if folks traveling by were looking at the boat or the bikinis????
The final test came the next day. Because as Ryan said, we need to
bloody up this boat just a bit! Since the motor was broken in at this
point, we let her FLY! It was off to Flamingo from Key Largo and then
north from Flamingo to Roger's River. Sixty miles each way. The boat
is propped out perfectly and that 250 optimax really hums. Fuel
efficiency was amazing. The boat handled a heavy chop magnificently. A
very soft ride. By the way, in true Grossman tradition, we bloodied up
the boat. The fish of the day was a 30 lb. Drum on 8 lb. test. Also,
a multitude of redfish, trout, snapper and other species.
We are thrilled with this new addition to our family! We are proud that
our family is now part of your Young 20 family.
Fondest Regards,
Kenneth Grossman

I am in Bradenton and fish throughout all of Tampa Bay from the shallow water
of Miguel Bay out to 70 miles offshore. I fish at least 3 tournaments a year
and its an
excellent tournament fishing boat. Each tournament has a shotgun start and We
get bait at the skyway and have been there during very rough
days when most people won't even attempt it. We remain dry as it is the
driest boat I have ever been on and handles the chop extremely well.
With 4 people and fully loaded, we can float in about 13-14" of water
and probably run in 8-11". I have fished on a lot of custom boats such
as the Gause 26, Schaeffer 24, Andros Boats, and the Yellowfin 24 and
for the type of fishing that I do, it is the best bay boat I have ever
fished on.
The boat is an awesome boat but the customer service you receive from
Young Boats is far superior. The process of building the boat was
extremely enjoyable. Robb, his family, and crew are the best people to
work with and will go out of their way to make sure your more than
satisfied. They remain in contact with you throughout the process and
send you photos on a regular basis via email. You can even go to their
facilities as often as you like and see how your boat is coming along.
Their service is what you would expect from the Ritz-Carlton. I receive
the same service after the sale which is extremely important to me.
It's almost like I am part of their family.
I hope this information is helpful,

I flew down to Fort Lauderdale last Sunday to attempt to take the boat
across to Green Turtle Cay. The weather was so rough, I took a drive down
to Key West for a couple of days to wait out the weather. On Wednesday
morning, I pulled out of New Port Cove at 6am and headed out about 1 mile to see
the conditions. It was pretty bad. 3-5 footers with alot of chop,
gray sky, the trip would have taken forever, so I headed back to the dock to
wait another day. On Thursday, I caught a break in the weather and wind.
We had one 3 mile/hour winds, so I pulled away from the dock at New Port Cover
at 6:30am. Out from the inlet I had 2 foot seas with a chop. By
10:30 am I had cover 65 miles, crossed the Bahama Bank {about 70 miles} which
was relatively calm in the next 3 hours and I entered the Sea of Abaco at about
1:30pm. The wind had picked up in the Sea of Abaco and I had 2-3 foot wave
heights. The last 40 miles through the Sea of Abaco to New Plymouth on
Green Turtle Cay took alittle over 2 hours and I stepped on the town dock 9
hours leaving Riviera Beach, FL. The boat ran great and was the talk of the
island this past weekend. The locals and tourist couldn't believe your 20'
boat covered 180 miles non stop and crossed the Gulf Stream to Abaco. The
crowd in the bar made several toasts to your boat building and the 20' flats
boat that crossed the Gulf Stream. Thank You again for Building a Great Boat!

While fishing in their 20' Custom Young Flats Boat in the Florida Keys,
Marathon on New Years Eve Day 2007, "it was a beautiful day for fishing":
We caught live pilchards with the cast net on the way out and drifted along the
reef line in about 175 feet of water. It took almost an hour to bring the
sailfish to the boat, making us a little late for our New Years Eve Party.
The sailfish was revived and successfully released. We caught a 4 foot
dolphin and a King Fish earlier in the day. Who says the Young 20 is only
for flats fishing. What a great day!

I wanted to take a few moments to thank you all for the great boat buying
and boat owning experience I have had with my Young 20. The boat has been
nothing less than a pure pleasure to own and use. We took it to the Ocean
Reef Club (Key Largo) last week for my children's spring break and despite
20 knot winds all week we never missed a day on the boat. The near shore
waters were a constant white capped 2' to 3' chop and the boat handled it
with ease being both comfortable and dry. I had a chance to pole some
backwater flats and managed to pole thru 12" of water with no problem and
this with 3/4 full fuel tank, full loaded including the livewells and 4
people on board. My previous 17' Maverick Master Angler was a good flats
boat but the Young 20 floats just as shallow and poles with the same effort.
That has been one of my most pleasant surprises.
Once again thanks,
Bob Skinner
